No. Really, how wimpy does football have to become anyway? Pretty soon "NFL" will stand for the "National Flagfootball League." The NFL has already banned the Wedge of blockers for the return team to cut down on injuries on kickoff returns. Should the NFL ban passing plays over the middle where defenseless receivers get creamed by safeties? Or punt returns? The kickoff is too integral a part of the game to eliminate it unless there is incontrovertible proof that the kickoff is the most dangerous play in the game and connot be made safe. We might as well rename some teams the New England Pattycakes or the Minnesota Maryanns.
